Tamara Orlova is an award-winning filmmaker, development producer, and writer based in London. She works across elevated independent film and television, developing psychologically rich, character-driven stories with emotional intelligence and international scope.
Tamara has a growing slate of projects in scripted development, collaborating with established and emerging UK and European talent. Her work spans concept development, packaging, and producing ambitious indie film with strong artistic identity.
Her recent credits include Grey Ice – her intimate directing debut – the festival-recognised short Ivanko’s Childhood, and the thriller Escape, released on Amazon Prime after winning Best British Thriller. Her productions have featured acclaimed screen talent including Sandra Dickinson, Sinéad Matthews, and Emmy-nominated Tom Goodman-Hill.
Recognised in the top 10% of BBC Writersroom submissions and a member of the WGGB, Tamara brings a rigorous storytelling instinct and collaborative development approach.
She previously founded and directed the DAFTAS Film Festival and is serving as a judge of the Epica Awards.
